Alice Cooper, Ace Frehley headline 'Super Group' benefit for Right Turn, Inc. - Arlington, MA - The Arlington Advocate
It was a night to rock the ages.
Alice Cooper, Ace Frehley “banded” together with fellow rock giants at Berklee Performance Center Sunday to benefit Right Turn, Inc., an Arlington-based center for outpatient treatment of substance abuse.
The event was the second annual Super Group show, with concert and auction of rock memorabilia, to raise funds for the treatment center.
For some performers, including Cooper and Frehley -- the former KISS guitarist enjoying renewed appreciation as a solo artist -- it was a chance to give public testimony about their own victories over addiction and excess.
For audience and band a like, it was a time to celebrate life free of drugs and alcohol abuse, and to revel in favorite songs.
