Gene Simmons to Keynote 2nd Annual LA Mobile Entertainment Summit
Unicomm, a leading event management company and The Bob Dowling Group today announced that media powerhouse Gene Simmons will headline its second annual LA Mobile Entertainment Summit®, in association with Variety, scheduled for Tuesday-Wednesday, September 20-21, 2011 at the Hollywood & Highland Center, Hollywood, CA.
“We couldn’t be more excited to have international entertainment legend, and serial entrepreneur Gene Simmons to keynote the LA Mobile Entertainment Summit,” said John Golicz, CEO of Unicomm. “Gene is definitely in a league of his own when it comes to creating, marketing and monetizing an international entertainment brand globally.”
A founding member of the iconic rock group KISS, Simmons shows no signs of slowing down these days. KISS has just added tour dates in Canada for this summer and he and his family are currently shooting a seventh season of A&E's “Gene Simmons Family Jewels," now the longest-running celebrity reality series on TV and exported to more than 80 countries. In addition, he continues to build upon a licensing and merchandising empire that includes movies, publishing, TV, and of course, music.
Described as the “ultimate deal maker,” Simmons recently signed on as a business partner and spokesperson for Intertainment Media’s Ortsbo - a real-time filter for translating 53 different languages across 12 leading social media platforms. This summer the company is scheduled to deploy mobile apps in conjunction with extending its software across instant messaging, e-mail and RSS. According to Simmons, "Any pop culture entity has to be worldwide.”
