Kiss Useing Backing Tracks for Live Version of "Samurai Son" During Concerts in Japan

Despite being critical of pop singers who use backing tracks in 2012, KISS has admitted to doing the same on their recent outing in Japan. The hard rockers needed to use some recorded parts of their new single "Samuari Son," which was made in collaboration with the Japanese group Momoiro Clover Z. The band explained in a tweet that the backing track has been used to recreate certain production aspects of the tune, "Recorded Samurai Son for Japan. To reproduce production here we play live with extra tracks. Nothing to hide," the band wrote.

Back in 2012, KISS was getting ready to hit the road with Mötley Crüe when outspoken member Gene Simmons threw some shade at contemporary pop stars.

"We're sick and tired of girls getting up there with dancers and karaoke tapes in back of them," he said. "The guys you see on stage are playing their instruments. No fake bulls**t. Leave that to the Rihanna, Shmianna and anyone who ends their name with an 'A.'"
